Roscrea’s Garda Community Officer, Katie Jones is pictured at St Anne’s Roscrea on Friday last with Special Olympians Aaron O’Neil and Niall Walsh. Both athletes will compete at the 2010 Special Olympics Ireland Games which takes place in Limerick this week. Garda Jones and the athletes are flanked by representatives of the PSNI and An Garda Síochána who participate in the Law Enforcement Torch Run.



Bernie Campion, Emma O’Rourke, Paula O’Dowd, and Michael Delaney, welcome the Special Olympics torch to St Anne’s Roscrea on Friday last.

Five athletes from St. Cronan’s competed in this year’s Special Olympics National Games, which were hosted recently in limerick. Competing in the 5 a-side soccer were Maureen Sheridan, Julie McGrath and Iuli McKenna. In the Athletics, Kevin Egan and Emma Coonan competed.


Gael Scoil An t-Slí Dala Were Delighted To Support the Arrival Of The Special Olympics Torch In Roscrea

The Law Enforcement Torch Run, made its way to Roscrea on Friday last in the build up to the 2010 Special Olympics Ireland Games. The games will take place in Limerick between June 9th and 13th. Roscrea Garda Cliona Ni Riabhaigh displays the torch on it’s arrival at St Anne’s Roscrea to help celebrate the participation of two of their athletes Aaron O Neill and Niall Walsh in the games.
