The people of Roscrea, Birr and surrounding areas are in for a real treat when world-renowned philosopher, poet and author John O’Donohue visits Birr on Tuesday the 18th of January for what promises to be a truly enlightening evening. John O'Donohue lives in the West Of Ireland and speaks Gaelic as his native language. He has degrees in Philosophy and English Language and in 1990 was awarded a Ph. D in Philosophical Theology. Author and Poet, John has travelled extensively over Ireland, Europe and the USA sharing his concepts, thoughts and philosophies. As an author his writing draws the reader into intimate conversation with neglected or unknown regions of the soul.
